Ebola

Guys today I am posting about Ebola Virus which has been spreading all over the world. Get to know about this fatal disease and here are also symptoms, Prevention methods. Share this post also with your friends as this post deserves it.

    Ebola is a viral disease caused to human beings by Ebola Virus. First Ebola virus occurred in remote areas of Central Africa and it was notified in March 2014. Ebola is caused by RNA virus. New medications are in development for Ebola and there is no vaccine for it.




The main reason why is fatal disease occurs is due to direct contact with a contaminated things and it is even transmitted through air. It is believed that fruit bats are normal carriers in nature and they are able to spread with out getting affected. Human Beings gets affected to this deadly disease either by contact with bats or living or  dead animals effected with bats.

Symptoms :

 



Here are the symptoms of Ebola and symptoms of this disease start between 2nd day and three weeks after getting affected with the virus that is nothing but incubation period. 
Major Symptoms are Sudden fever, Sore throat, Muscle pain, Head ache, joint pain  and they are followed by vomiting, diarrhea and abdominal pain. Along with this functions of kidneys and liver also decreases.After the five to seven days of symptoms bleeding also starts internally and externally.It also leads to death after 6 to 16 days of symptoms appear.People are often in a coma near to end of death.

Prevention and Control : 

People travelling to areas where Ebola is affected are suggested to use protective clothing like masks, gloves, gowns and goggles . Ebola virus can be eliminated with heat ( Heating for 30 to 60 minutes).


  • Wash hands frequently and use an alcohol based hand sanitizer. 
  • Health Care workers should take standard measures while they are serving the patients regardless of their presumed diagnosis.
  • Clean your hands every time when possible and keep drinking hot water.
  • Avoid Contact with blood and body fluids of any one mostly who is sick.
  • Never touch body of the person who died of Ebola.
  • Do not Touch bats or non human primates or their blood and also never eat raw meat prepared with these animals.
  • Seek medical care immediately if you found any of the symptoms  mentioned above.
