Google is the one of the best companies in the world and getting in to Google is definitely not an easy job. If you are an aspiring student, to make it big at Google, you need to know what are those qualities which Google is looking for and Google’s senior vice president of people operations, Laszlo Bock, can help you in this research. Reported by Drake Baer of Business Insider, Bock has shared all those traits which can make you an eligible candidate for Google.

You people can have a glance on it

1. No Expertise Required:

Well candidates with deep knowledge in their respective fields is what most companies require but Google doesn't. Google looks for people who need to learn and are able to learn fast.

2. High Cognitive Quality Required:

Google is more focused on cognitive skills for simple as well as complex tasks. As claimed by Bock, people with this ability are always enthusiastic to reinvent themselves. Google is fonder of assessing a candidate through aptitude factor.

3. People with “Grit” Required:

Google's prospective employees should have enough “grit” factor as it keeps one going even in the most challenging situation. Google always looks for innovative personalities who would love to walk on those roads which have never been traveled before.

4. Ability to Tackle Difficult Projects Required:

Google asks some of the toughest questions in the interview sessions, asking candidates' difficulties while facing challenging situations. People are supposed to speak about their previous difficult experiences to assess how much interaction has already taken place with real-life difficulties so far and how candidates manage to get rid off the same.

5. Analytical Skills Required:

Google is not at all interested in your college/university degrees. Google is more interested in real life experiences that bookish knowledge as the former offers us analytical knowledge.

6. High Standard Expectations:

You may be smart enough, have excellent grades, have high analytical skills too. But Google has set some really high standards in their hiring parameters which are not easy to meet.

7. GPAs are least required:

Google is not at all focused on GPAs, brands and test scores. Academic environments do not at all come in the shortlisting criteria at Google.

8. Exposure To Peer Activity:

Google focuses on peer activities a lot for measuring learning processes and changes in work achievements.

9. Leadership Qualities Required:

Employees need to have ownership of their job, and it's a very old saying now. But this traditional concept of leadership is not followed at Google. It's all about taking the initiative at the right time. Effective leadership is what Google wants from you.

10. Humility Required:

Several creative heads are always collaborating to keep Google going with all their new innovations. Candidates should be humble enough to step back sometimes to allow others to contribute.
